Hey, Jay! I was fan the previous ending, but I do like this version more. It wrapped up nicely for me, and the text message to Maretta was so full of emotion.

I pretty much couldn't pull my eyes away from this piece and before I knew it, it was over. That's the only disappointing part haha is that it ended.

Once again, every line carries the reader gracefully down the page while picking up so much emotion, imagery, and atmosphere to carry along the way.

I also love how clear you are in your fiction. I know some writers prefer to be clever over clear, and perhaps there are times for that, but I've always enjoyed reading your work because it's direct yet graceful in its clarity.
