I'm coming up on that 6 month mark. I feel like I should of gotten so much further by now, but then I again tend to judge and push myself right out of continuing what I'm trying to do if I don't "win" fast enough. It's nice to hear that you were in a similar spot too at your 6month mark. It gives me hope I may have a spot in this writing realm at some point in the future. I'm just not sure what my next step is yet.
