It's hard to be acknowledged for anything when I'm doing my best to be invisible. I worked like this for over 10yrs in the office. I always got irritated too when other's were considered for things and I wasn't, even though I was consistently told I did great work.

Just goes to show that working hard is important, but being a good robot isn't what it's all about. I should of shown more of who I was through stories of what's going on in my life and tried to connect with people more. I guess I was pretty convinced no one cared, and maybe they didn't, but I feel like I would of had a better experience in the office if I didn't hide all the time.

I'll consider this if I find myself in another office again. But for now, I can relate this to writing on Medium. Thanks Rick!
