I’ve been feeling like breaking out of the Medium mold for awhile now. It never really resonated with me. I’d much rather walk down my own path and be more daring with my writing, as you mentioned. That’s why I’ve started dabbling in poetry and forms of literary minimalism. It’s always felt more natural to paint words with those types of colors, but I’ve feared really leaning into it because of popular writing advice for success on this site.
