That's great you have such a positive outlook with it all! My mom recently had her second knee replacement surgery because the first one was botched. There was were times she got irritated things weren't going fast enough, and at one point I saw hope leave her face. It's tough going into healing with expectations for how it should go. All I can is be patient with the process of healing. I've never been through anything like that, but I've seen my parents go through surgeries that are similar, and they seemed to heal faster when they consistently did the PT, yet were patient and adaptive to the reality of things in the moment.
I don't mean to preach or anything, but your story reminded me of my parents, and that's what I noticed being on the outside looking in.
Good luck with PT and the rest of your healing journey! :)
