The Greatest Way To Heal Emotional Pain Is Also the Most Uncomfortable

It’s normal to seek pleasure when we feel the internal sting of emotional discomfort. But covering up suffering with consumption (food, shopping, internet, etc..) can become a bad habit in a flash. When this happens, our woes go unresolved and begin stacking up.

Unfortunately, the higher the stack, the more the body and mind are stressed. This stress is the signal to consume the pain away… and the cycle lives on.

Turning away from yourself isn’t doing you any favors

It’s a bit harsh to admit, but turning away from our emotional pains is self-neglect. If done consistently, I dare to say it enters the territory of self-abuse.

With that, there are endless ways to distract ourselves from emotional suffering, but only one reliable way to handle and resolve it.

Getting uncomfortably close

Becoming intimate with your pain is the greatest way to heal it. This can be done any time, but it’s best if you can manage it right when the inner turmoil starts. That’s because you aren’t giving it any time to fester and become…
