The Wealth of Life Is Measured in the Quality of Your Awareness on the Present Moment
Don’t waste any more precious time being lost in thought.
I don’t always think about death, but when I get a sense of my short existence in this body, it comes with a heavy dose of reality. We all experience this now and then, and I think it’s healthy as long as it’s not obsessive. For me, remembering I’m going to die at some point puts things back into perspective.
Now, it’s never bad to plan for the future or reflect on the past, but it almost never ends there. A majority of us spend tons of time in our head thinking, worrying, projecting, and stressing ourselves into a burnout.
It makes me wonder how much of my life I’ve missed out on because of hanging out in my head.
Time flies
Life is happening outside of the mind.
It’s important to be present for the moments in our lives, no matter how exciting or dull they are. Because one day, we will run out of moments to be present for.
Let me put it this way.
