This lady sounds a bit like a neighbor I used to have in an apartment complex. She was old enough to be my mom and would come around all the time asking me what I was up to, where I was going, but not so she could follow me. It's so she could fill my day with tasks because she knew I was too nice to say no.

Yay for people pleasing.

Anyway, when I'm home she'll come knock on the door, but I could always tell when she was coming because she'd slam her door closed and stomp over to my place.

So when she did I would turn off the lights and hide under the window until she left. This went on for weeks until we passed each other on the stairs.

She walked by me like I never existed. A month later she moved out. I guess one of those times I didn't close the blinds and she caught me playing dead. Oh well, at least it was over.

Your story is crazy though, and well written. I really enjoyed reading it.

Thanks for this.
